Give me meal ideas for company breakfast...

What should I feed our guests this weekend for breakfast Saturday and Sunday?

I am doing Salmon, roasted red potatoes and steamed asparagus with lemon dill sauce Friday.

Roasted leg of lamb, pineapple casserole, broccoli bake and scalloped potatoes with rolls Saturday night. We will eat lunch out on Saturday.

So...breakfast Saturday & Sunday...

  • A breakfast casserole would be quick and easy.  Even little egg quiche muffins.  You can put whatever you like in them -- ham, cheese, peppers, spinach, etc.  You could do some hash browns, panackes, waffles, etc. to go along with the casserole too.

I like to pick things that don't leave me stuck in the kitchen the entire time.  A casserole could be put in the oven and you can enjoy coffee with your guests.

  • Holy crap Betty Crocker!  Tell them to enjoy their salmon and lamb and point them to the nearest McDonalds in the AM.

  • How about making cinnamon rolls-- You can do them ahead of time and freeze them so they stay fresh.

French toast is good, too-- Put some cinnamon and vanilla in the egg to spruce it up a little. YOu can cover it and put it in the oven to keep it warm. Maybe with fresh fruit?

  • I would do something hot on Saturday, like a breakfast casserole.  They're easy to put together the night before, and then you just stick it in the oven on Sat. morning.  Sunday you should do something easy, like a bagel spread with lox, diff cream cheese flavors, and fruit.  I like that because you can do pretty much everything in advance, and then just enjoy company on the day of.

  • Make an egg bake. You can make it the night before and then just throw it in the oven the next morning.

Otherwise just good ol' bluberry pancakes with some bacon or something is always good.

  • Breakfast casserole, fruit salad and muffins...

I've also seen it made with ham, or mushrooms and other veggies.  Basically, crustless quiche.

  • A friend of mine when we stayed over did a waffle bar for us. She made a bunch of waffles and had a bunch of different syrups and toppings. It was really cool. Also a B&B i love does a grits bar with the same kind if setup.
  • Quiche.  It can be made a day or two before hand.  Super easy.

Sunday I will do bagles and cc and maybe lox and onion/tomato if they like that...and fruit, I love fruit...maybe grapefruits baked with brown sugar...

  • You could do panncakes one morning and a fritatta/bagels with cream cheese the next.
  • Maybe a strata or baked french toast? ?Most of them can be prepared the night before and popped in the oven in the morning. ?

  • Overnight Caramel French Toast - super easy and super yummy!!!!
