I got to our pumping room this morning, started to get all set up, and realized I didn't have one of the diaphragms (I think that's what the part that sets in the top of the flange where the tubing connects to is called?). At first I thought maybe I dropped it so I searched the place, but then called DH at home and he confirmed I forgot it.
I can still pump one-boobed for today, but I was just annoyed at myself because I'm usually so good at setting everything up and packing my bag. Oh well! It gives me an excuse to take twice as long breaks on a Friday - not a bad thing!
Re: Forgot a pump part - ugh!
That sucks! Right there is the reason that I keep my pump and parts at work, so I never forget... because I certainly would! I just picked up a manual pump for at home, since I only really use it there for relieving engorgement in the mornings.
As similar story from me: I was heading up to my parents for a night because I had a memorial service to attend the next day, a 2.5 hour drive from my place, but only 1 hour from theirs. I packed my pump to use in the morning... and didn't realize until I got there that I only packed the actual pump part! No shield, no part that screws on top of the bottle, no bottle!! Lol. Planning - fail.
Luckily my daughter was with me, so its not like I was really stuck... just a little extra full in the morning.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
