First, I'm driving down the street, feeling moved by a story told by a young man (probably mid teens) who lost his mom - very moving, and almost brought on some tears.
Then, as I'm walking in, still thinking of the story, I see DH's former boss, and start contemplating the effect that a somewhat sincere looking "I will pray for your soul" would work as a good general put down.
And then, as I'm sitting at my desk, still kind of thinking of the put down when I figure out how to get the large chunks of chocolate in my frappiccino (or however you spell it) from the bottom of my straw to my mouth without dropping them, and once again, all is well in papagena-land.
