Birth story: Started having early labor contractions on Saturday
night around 8pm, went to the hospital at about 4am on Sunday morning.
Discharged due to lack of dilation, given an ambien and muscle relaxer
for sleep. Got a few hours of sleep and woke up to more contractions.
Went back to hospital, discharged again for lack of dilation. Given a
perscription for ambien and muscle relaxer. Got to CVS, didn't have
scrip from doctor. Waited for CVS to call doctor and couldn't stand the
contractions, went back to hospital some time on Monday morning. Was
seen by my doctor, discharged for lack of dilation, but scheduled for
induction on Tuesday morning at 6am. I think I went back to hospital
sometime on Monday night, discharged for lack of dilation forced to wait
out until induction.
Tuesday morning, came in for induction, finally got epi. Baby S didn't respond well to the epi. Her heart rate went down too much and they decided to do an emergency C-section. It went great and so far I think I've had a pretty easy recovery. She's having some sucking/latching problems, but we're working on it and she is improving with each feeding.
Re: AW: abbreviated birth story and pictures
You and S had quite a ride - but she's beautiful and I'm so happy for you! Congrats.
That first picture makes my heart melt.
