I have been delaying this post to see if anyone else was going to maybe ask this question, but no one did. I wasn't sure if it would offend anyone, but I was curious on birthing situations. Vaginal or C-Section. I know most people only have c/s if there are complications. And I talk to my dr and so far right now I am fine and healthy. I asked tho about c/s, and its an option i am aloud to chose. I dont know the pros and cons between the vaginal and c/s either, for this is my first child. But i am really actually scared of the vaginal way and the delivery and everything. My mom and everyone in my family were in labor for almost 24 hours. I am leaning towards going with a c/s.
Re: Just curious
Like PP I would do the research on the pros/cons of c-section. I would be concerned if a Dr. would ok a non-medically needed c-section. Have you ever had abdominal surgery? I have had surgery and I can say that its painful and I can't imagine having a c-section and dealing with a newborn.
I don't think any woman here loves the thought of vaginal delivery but its part of pregnancy that we must endure.
Any doc that would let you schedule a C-Section without it being medically necessary doesn't sound like one I would want to go see. Do your research, please. Serious research.
do some research..i've had a c section. and emergency one. it wasnt fun.. it wasnt easy, and recovery was a b!tch..and not only that the Dr who did it cut me too deep and now ill never be able to give birth vaginally without risking me or the baby..so i have to AGAIN have major surgery and recover from it while handling a newborn and a 4 year old. if your looking for an easy way out.. c section isnt the way.
yes, we know it's your birthing option. But what we are saying is to do some extensive research on this. It is major surgery which, in your case right now, is medically unnecessary.
Do you actually know what they do when performing a c-section?
FYI...He does so many because he gets paid a hell of a lot more performing a c-section than a vaginal birth. He sounds like a great doctor!
If you've truly done your research, then why the post?
have you watched videos? watch a video.
for the love of god.. im gonna say it, if you actually did your research, watched videos, know how its done, and still are willing to do it for no good reason.. you're an idiot.
I call b/s.
If you've "read so many things" then how are you all "I dont know the pros and cons between the vaginal and c/s either, for this is my first child."
??
MUD?
I was curious to what people thought and who else I guess " WOULD BE OUTA THERE MIND" and having one done. Was just a question on, if out of the THOUSANDS of people on here preferred it as well.
I was just about the type the same words. I am almost calling MUD on this one.
nope, most of us aren't too scared to push a child out of our vagina, that we would risk having major surgery which is medically unnecessary. But good try.
I still call MUD. But it got me GOLD!!!!
WOW gold huh? Would you like a cookie?
I totally agree! Ughhhhh! But..... still entertaining how uneducated and self rightous people can be.
no cookie needed. Why are you so upset? Were you expecting us to tell you something different?
I am upset because i didnt expect everyone to be so judgemental and put people down on here over a fvcking post. and to keep ranting on and on about and ganging up with everyone. It was a fvcking post and you seem upset over it yourself. It was my option to ask the question and so i did. Everyone has their own oppinion about..YES but to be a total *** about, NO.
Let me ask YOU a question... Where exactly are you getting your research from?
she was definatly expecting us to come on here and say "wow..what a good idea..why didnt i think of this? have major surgery instead of pushing the baby out of my hoo haa"
i wish i could give birth vaginally..idiots like her pi$$ me off coming on here saying stupid sh!t like she's done her research and just wants everyones opinions, and when she gets them, she's pi$$ed because they arent the opinions she wanted.
Technically, it's a public message board and if they want to be a *** about it they have every right. It's the way of the world wide web.
OK.
if you have read so many things then how have you "not researched the pros and cons??"
really I mean it is an elective abdominal surgery in your instance . . . what exactly is the pro when as of this time your baby has a much more natural exit that is built for pushing out babies.
Yeah, pretty much.
OP, I'm not really sure what you're looking for. You asked a question and got some replies. Apparently they weren't all to your liking...but, that's the way it goes sometimes.
and oh yeah its allowed
(opens in new window - not just an underlined word)
You must be new here...lol!
LOL! Next is choose. NOT chose.
To the OP:
I am certainly not going to judge. ?It is your decision. ?Yes, a c/s is major surgery. ?But I understand your fear of vaginal too. ?
Ultimately YOU decide what is best for YOU and your baby....no matter what people on the bump say.
Oh...and FYI, I had a planned c/s because of feared medical complications with vaginal (myself and the dr. believed that a c/s was much more controlled and less risky with my heart problems I was having). ? The c/s was GREAT. ?Yeah, I was sore for awhile afterwards, but I recovered quickly without complications. ?I would do it again in a heartbeat. ?No question in my mind.?
Both my girls I was in labor for over 72 hours. My first, I delivered vaginally with no drugs (aside from pitocin). My second was an emergency c-section.
I would go through 2 weeks of labor just to avoid a c-section. I wasn't able to drive for 8 weeks, my incision came open, it was just horrible all around.
With my recovery for a vaginal delivery I was walking around an hour later.
Bring on the GRAMMER police. lol
I can absolutely understand if you have a medical condition where it is a more safe option, but just to do it for sh!t's and giggles without truly doing your research and eductating yourself on the topic is absurd to me. Sorry for the run on.
i was in labor 36 hours, so what? c/s should be reserved for medical necessity. but it's your body and your dumbass doctor so do what you want.
but seriously doing a section because your skeered is stupid. there are a lot of really valid reasons. this, imo, is not one of them.
