Throwing up after sleeping 30 minutes?

DS ate dinner normal last night...took his normal bedtime bottle...fell asleep just fine.  30 minutes after he'd fallen asleep I heard him start screaming.  WTF?  I ran in there b/c that's NOT normal these days and I immediately smelled vomit.  Ick!

Turned the light on and he had thrown up ALL OVER his crib and himself.  His little face was covered and he looked sooo tired.  I called for DH to come help me and as soon as I picked him up he laid his head down on my shoulder...like, "why mom, why are you picking me up? I was sleeping!"  Poor thing.

So I cleaned him up, DH changed all the bedding and he crashed back out after a couple ounces of water.  But has anyone else's LO done that?  He wasn't acting sick at all?  He acted fine this morning too?

Well that's kinda what I was thinking.  B/c he will just eat and eat and eat (fruit) until we stop giving it to him.  And he ate quite a bit of watermelon and canteloupe last night after his dinner.

  • DD did this two days ago only she got sick twice and did seem out of sorts so I am thinking hers was a bug. Maybe his tummy was just upset from something he ate. Hope he is okay now.
  • he did it once when SIL was baby sitting.  She had me freaked when i got home describing what a horror show it was.  She said nothing out of the ordinary happened and it never happened again.  He hasnt eaten peas since though!
  • This exact same thing happened to us.  The only difference was that I heard DS vomit and he didn't even make a fuss.  It was everywhere though.  I took him to the doc today because he had diarrhea today.  She said it's probably just a stomach bug and it should be gone by tomorrow.  I hope your LO just had to get something out of him and he's feeling better now.
