When LO pukes, does that mean he's full?

Probably a weird question, but when LO pukes does that necessarily mean he's full? Thanks!

  • Is he puking or just spitting up? My son is still spitting up after every meal but it's not b/c he's full. Maybe he has some reflux? DS is gradually growing out of it but we keep a blanket ready after each meal. Try to get him to eat slower, keep him elevated while he is eating and for a little while after

I assume you mean spit up?  Babies sometimes spit up b/c they overate, sometimes it's just b/c their digestive tract is immature and stuff comes back up.

If he's throwing up, that's a bit different.

  • Sorry, spiting up!
  • Sometimes with LO it's just because there was a burp and after the burp, he'll continue to eat.
  • Spit up could mean full but it could also be what's trapped in the esophagus when gas comes out.
