Are Goodmamas that good?

Anyone love them?  I keep seeing tons of them for sale used on hyena cart.  Are there so many for sale because lots of people use them or buy them? Or because everyone who buys them hates them and wants to sell them?  What's your experience?  Thanks!

  • They are probably our favorite diaper.  They worked wonderfully for DD.

  • I've only tried their fitteds once and we're just not a fitted loving house. I have 5 of their The Ones and hate them. They wick constantly, and I'm always changing her clothes.

We still like the OS fitteds at 2 1/2.

Nope.  Don't like the fit, don't like the quality, don't like the cs.

  • I have 10 fitteds for DS and love them. They are my overnight diaper for him. Plus they're super cute :)
  • You'll see a lot NIP (new in package) because people buy them and hope the print becomes a hot commodity.  For a while, GMs were the new beanie baby.
  • I have one that I bought used to check out the hype. It's only ok in my opinion. We use fitteds almost exclusively and the fit is nice and it seems to be decent quality but I don't find them to be as bulletproof absorbent as everyone else seems to claim. I think any diaper with that much bulk and layers would be equally as absorbent.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them, just for us they're not really worth the money and hype that surrounds them.

  • I like GrahamBearWear and Megaroos Designs fitteds better.  I have a few GMs.  Not a huge fan of the T&T (that's turned and top stitched for you n00bs) fit.  I like the good.nights though for overnight.

  • Love them.  I didn't want to.  I wanted to hate them.  But they work really, really well for us.

  • i got one velour fitted used to see what the hype was about. i prefer the velour to the print outers- those look worn out more quickly, and I think they absorb less.  they are kinda bulky, are a bit on the low rise side of the spectrum, but contain well and absorb fairly well. I know that certain prints go for $25-30, but I'd never pay more than maybe $12-14 in EUC including s/h. Even that seems like a lot, but they can be good nap/night time diapers. I prefer BubuBebe to GM though overall. The fit is better, the snap-in soakers more versatile and dry faster, and the customer service is much friendlier.

Yeah, this is us, too.  I bought my first one thinking I could trash talk it.  Then I fell in love. lol

  • Thanks for all the input everyone!  All very useful!
  • I think whether or not they are "that good" depends on the price.

At retail- no way. At way below retail- fine.

This too.  I have never paid full price for one.

Pretty much this.  And Hippi enabled me to try my first one (or ten as the case was)...  Love them in our house.  I always buy used though b/c as a PP mentioned the CS sucks.

  • I should add that I have NEVER paid more than $25 (including shipping) for any of my GMs...well ok...except for one (an ACU print one so DS can match his daddy). I've purchased 8 of my 10 used for much less than $20 each.
  • Eh I dont love em'. They are not NEARLY absorbant enough for night-time use as I have read a bazillion times. We have to use B4's (Bububebe's for those who wonder) for night-time use. I have a large variety of fitteds and I dont think they are any more absorbent than my Little Fancy Pants or the BRSB (Bagshotrow Bamboo) that I have. I dont think I will be buying anymore of them.

  • I prefer Little Fancy Pants or BubuBebe.  DS isn't all that big (17 lbs 14 oz at his last appt), but they're too small for him. The rise was the big issue.  I'm glad I never bought one new... I recently sold all of mine after very, VERY little use in our house.

  • I love them. I only buy them on spots for cheap though. I don't think any diaper is worth 25 + dollars.
