What's the deal with "sexy time" instead of sex?

Is it a need to make everything cute? I don't get it. The word sex is contained in the phrase "sexy time," so why not just say that?

I never see it any more, but "bb's" was mentioned alot instead of breast or boobs.

Idk, when I see "sexy time" I automatically think everything but sex. You know, foreplay and oral.. like the ppl never got to the sex part. Like they are having a sexy time together, but no sex involved. Make sense? But I agree. It's just sex.... just like back when ppl said baby dance & DTD (which makes some sense) so much.

Baby dance gave me the heebie jeebies. I don't ever hear that anymore. It seemed like sexy time took it's place. Once or twice it seems like a movie refrence but when it appears in 80% of the posts about sex it feels weirder.

Yeah, I remember this. BD was the abbreviation I saw on the boards. For years I thought it stood for "bumping dirties" which used to make me sick every time I saw it.

I hate "sexy time", "bbs" or even "boobs" they are BREASTS, and I HATE all of the euphemisms for vagina. I don't think we see "baby dance" here much because the baby is so ever present in the situation it would be even more uncomfortable, but I have seen it TTC boards a lot and I hate it too!

What's sex....?

OooOoOo DH just informed me it's what we did in order to get me knocked up but we haven't had it since December due to various reasons/issues. I miss SEX. *gasp* I said it. I wish I had "sexy" time though. Even if I could prance around in a cute dress and feel sexy I'd be happy...
