Honestly, I'd pick a color scheme, and maybe have family & close friends write up stories/memories that can be put into a book for the birthday boy/gal. At that age, I'd imagine it'd be all about family and friends just being together.

Ditto. I've been in activities for seniors for years n' years and one thing it took a long long time for me to get was that that generation doesn't really get themes. Having people send pictures that you display, having people write memories that you put in a book, a general color theme with good food and people and you've got it made
