are they open to things like rasberry tea or evening primerose oil?
my DRs sure arent. They barely even listened to my ?s about it so i ask you here : how do these apply during late pregnancy? i heard they will only "help" if your body is ready so i say GREAT, i'd like to try ![]()
how do you use EPO?
thanks

Re: if you have a midwife: EPO & rasberry tea?
There is a girl on TTCAL that is a midwife and she told me that they use evening primerose oil all the time, she said 3 times by mouth daily and then once vaginally in the evening... she said that she uses it all the time, and even uses it during labor if there is a cervical lip, she will break a capsule on her gloves and rubs it on the lip and it goes right away.
My MW's are all for the natural remedies (once you're term of course). They recommend actually putting EPO "on" your DH before sex (like break the capsule and rub it on like lube)...and that helps soften the cervix even more. I personally have not done that (yet), but that's what they say.
I've been drinking the tea for the last few weeks too - I don't even care so much if it does anything, it just tastes really good! I make an iced tea out of it and keep it handy in the fridge.
This is what my midwives recommend, as well (clearly it hasn't sent me headlong into early labor, lol). The dosage I'm using is 1000 mg capsules.
Also, as far as red raspberry leaf tea, I'm drinking a quart a day, also per midwives' instructions. It's very good iced, actually.
wow! im going to sex it up like that tonight! awe-some !! haa!!! thanks for all the info but I have had no luck finding a 'tasty" ras leaf tea....where do you get it?
mine is from whole foods & it's nasty ! i'd love an iced tea recipe -- im new to making my own tea -- anything but hot -- eww is 85 in MI today !!!
My midwife said she isn't sure if it works, but she told me she used raspberry leaf tea when se was prego and suggested I do the same
Of course tat was only once I hit 37 weeks.
im in rochester!!! we just moved from Royal Oak so i will surely find what you have advised me -- thanks so much !
&&& thank YOU all for the info about all of this -- the look on my DRs face was as if I wasnt due for 6 months & she even seemed scared to even let me ask more ?s -- im probably switching up OBs after this but my husband had organized my current situation so --oh well ,,, sigh !
thanks again
