3rd Trimester

Anyone else ready to evict?

Today, random stranger # 246 eyeballed my immense midsection and asked when i was due and then started yammering on about how much she had loved being pregnant and I was like wha-wha-WHAT?

I am one of the lucky ones with healthy easy pregnancies but I can't fathom what there is to love about being pregnant. The stuffy nose? Bleeding gums? Becoming the mad pee-er? Heartburn? Sweating through my sheets? Waking up every 3 hours? Waddling like there is an anchor tied to my pubic bone? Itchy belly? Puffy ankles? Peeing myself if I sneeze? Rib kicks & lightening crotch? Making like a potato bug when I get out of bed? The fabulous wardrobe choices?

Don't get me wrong, I love the end result but I am so DONE being pregnant....

See, I feel I am a lucky one with a healthy easy pregnancy because I DON'T have any of those issues....well excpet the constant peeing.  I don't mind being pregnant.  I just want to meet my baby already!!!!

  • Yes, I am D.O.N.E.  (I'm guessing the photo is of you and a first LO) Don't you remember that feeling of missing being pregnant? You forget how sucky it is and only remembr the great parts!
  • i am done! i still have 52 days left! haha, about 7 weeks or so. and i am ready! ive had such a stressful pregnancy from doctors, family, moving, LO being tiny for every US and measuring small, and her NST/BPPs twice a week, and all these stretch marks. ugh! i'm complaining i know, but i am ready for LO to hurry up, well i can wait till she is full term but the idea of her being out sounds nice!
  • I totally understand!!! I just had my last day at work this past Thursday which is probably good because I was getting so irritated with everyone's stupid comments that I was probably going to punch someone.

I am a day away from my due date and sooo ready to be done. It is impossible to get even remotely comfortable. And my mood swings are through the roof. I feel bad for my poor husband.

I do feel a little guilty though because I think I am more anxious to go into labor because the pregnancy will be done than because I will get to meet my baby. = /

  • I've had a fairly easy pregnancy but I'm ready for LO to come! She is late and I don't want to go back to work so those could factor in too!

  • I have had a great pregnancy, but I still want my son out! I think the closer I get to my due date I want him out more and more :) . But I still have about 8 weeks left :(
  • I'm ready, but also apprehensive.  Right now, DH and I only have to worry about ourselves. When we want to go to the store, we just go. When we want to take a nap, we do.  But after LO is here, our schedules will be dictated by her.  I'm not sure I'm ready for that part yet! lol!

I'm also going to miss it just being the 2 of us. DH and I have had an AMAZING first year of marriage together.  I am going to miss all the alone time we have had.

  • I'm right there with you. I do NOT like being pregnant and never plan on it again, but it's the end result that makes it worth it. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow.. I want her OUT. I'm hoping the full moon this week helps things along, but I'm not expecting it.
  • OMG i'm right there with you.  I didn't mind being pregnant until the 9th month set in.  Super easy pregnancy compared to what it could be, but at 38w5d i'm ready to try anything to get her out.  Too bad none of the induction tactics are working...I guess she is just taking her sweet time.
