Why does DS cry in his sleep?

Lately, DS will have short cry bursts in his sleep.  Why does he do this?

    DD does this too. She also laughs in her sleep. I think they're just dreaming.

    My son does this too. Usually it's when he is just starting to wake up for a feeding but some times I get up and get ready to nurse and he's still out cold & doesn't wake up for a long time. I guess they just have taken in so much since birth that they have lots to dream about right now :-)
