You can, but you will have to toss any leftover milk if you mix them. A bottle of fresh milk can be refrigerated for later use. Edit: I meant the leftover fresh milk.
I did, especially when we first started using the thawed milk and the smell/taste was a little different. It was a way to blend the flavor and get him used to it.
Just keep in mind that freezing milk kills most of the anti-bacterial qualities of it- so defrosted breastmilk should be used within 24 hours if defrosted in the fridge. Milk that has only been cooled, but not frozen- retains it's germ fighting abilities and will stay fresh much longer in the fridge. If you are mixing some fresh with some defrosted- make sure you are only mixing enough for that feeding... not defrosting a few day's worth with the intent of keeping it in the fridge for a few days.
