Success after IF

NBR: I really should be packing.

But I hate packing.  And I hate moving.  I have zero motivation to get anything ready.... but we close on both houses in less than a week.  What to do.. What to do...

How do you get motivated to do crap you really really don't like??

Re: NBR: I really should be packing.

  • Yuck..packing is definately not fun.  To get motivated I turn on music that makes me want to dance and I try to start with the hardest stuff first so the rest seems easy and keeps me motivated.

Yeah, we went under contract not quite a month ago.  I think we got lucky b/c of that first time buyers credit - as the deadline got closer we had an insane amount of showings. Had there not been the credit thing I think we'd still be waiting.

Hang in there mama - someone will buy your place eventually!  Promise!  It only takes 1 person who likes it!  And you liked it when you bought it so can't be 'unsellable'.

I know you guys really need to get out - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

  • I wait to the very last minute and then I have no choice but to throw things in a box really quickly. Then I get mad that I didn't pack with more organization.

So yeah, I'm no help to you!!

    Congrats on the new house!!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

I'm a freak when it comes to moving.  I start way in advance and pack each and every box perfectly and label exactly where they go.  I like the packing part...it's the unpacking and putting away part that sucks.

I'm the same with laundry.  I don't mind doing laundry and folding it.  I am horrible at putting it away!
