I will be having a high risk pregnancy due to premature birth and prior miscarriage. My DD was born at 33 weeks and weighed only 2lbs. 15oz. It was due to severe pre-e and IGUR. I had a blighted ovum just this past March 2010.
I've already been put through the wringer and I am only 5 weeks. I had bloodwork on Monday, ultrasound tomorrow, bloodwork again this Monday, another ultrasound in 2 weeks. After that is even crazier. I had to tell my boss today with all the appointments that I have scheduled.
I'm on a pretty regulated vitamin cocktail. I still have to pick up one more pill. They are doing things that may delay the onset of pre-e if I were to develop it again.
I'm terried to get pre-e again. I want to make it to 10w 1 day (the day after I was diagnosed with my BO) and 33 weeks and 1 day (the day after I had DD). I've never been that pregnant before. Ha!
Just wondering if there are many out there. Maybe we can do some sort of check-in to see how we are progressing. Let me know if there is an interest and I can run it once a week or something.
Re: How many high risk ladies are here?
FET to TTC #2: 9/29/14 Beta on 10/8/14 = BFP!
DS #1 Born 1/3/11 after IVF #1
4 failed IUIs, including 1 CP
PCOS
TTC since 2008
I guess I'm high risk with a history of pre-eclampsia and an emergent c/s while pre-term. I also had a m/c in January.
Did you get pre-E labs ordered as a baseline this pregnancy? I guess there are some new studies out that recommend it so docs have something to go off of if it happens again. I just had mine done this morning.
double high risk here
we should all keep in touch no here!!!?
I'm a type 1 diabetic which comes with it's own huge set of ?issues. (baby getting too big, placental failure, fetal hypoglycemia, and a host of birth defects etc) but i'm on an insulin pump and my Blood sugars are STELLAR so I'm really happy and extreemly hopeful(ad I dont mind saying just a little bit proud of myself
Then last year we suffered a loss at 17 weeks, no cramping no nothing just no fetal heart beat.. so I'm high risk there too.?
combine the two and i'll be at the OB office weekly until the third trimester when it will go to daily.. fun times.?
on the up side we get tons of attention and LOTS of ultra sounds!!!(gotta find a silver lining in there )?
let's keep in touch and encourage one another ladies!! we high riskers are a special breed

Success with #1 after Femara + Trigger + IUI
i don't know if i am but as of yet nothing out of the ordinary for me.
i know i'll be monitored closely b/c i had GD and was induced due to high BP w/ DS # 1 and b/c i lost DS # 2 and had no amniotic fluid. so starting at 32wks i'll have NST's and something else 2x's a week.
Here, here.
IF, serious back injury which lead to a disability that makes an epi tricky plus just carrying a baby hard. Daughter born at 36weeks and now 2 losses.
Double High Risk here, but I dont consider them tooooo bad right now. I had a previous baby diagnosed with a NTD so I will see a specialist for that until we are in the clear.
I was really sick for a while after loosing the baby and had a lot of procedures and was finally diagnosed with placenta accreta, so I basically have a uterus full of scar tissue. Depending on where the placenta attachs determines how high risk I will be at that point.
Hopefully.........everything will go well on both sides and I will be good to go!!!
I am high risk. I was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden when I complained about not being able to breath. In the emergency room they found a blood clot in each lung. I was on blood thinners for 8 month and have to take Lovenox shots twice a day for the entire pregnancy. I see my doctor weekly to have blood drawn and am not allowed to fly after 18 wks. BTW we live in Alaska and the rest of our family lives in the lower 48 so that means I won't get to see any of them my entire pregnancy
(For those that don't know, FVL is a clotting disorder that makes me 4x more likely to clot than someone who doesn't have it. I can never be on birth control or any type of drug that has clotting as a side effect as that is what cause my double pulminary embolisms)
O-mi-goodness. Bless your heart!
I have Factor V Leiden, MTHFR, 4 previous losses, arcuate uterus and pre-e with my DD.
For the FVL I'm doing Heparin injections 2x a day. Ins wouldn't cover Lovenox. Looks like there are a few of us here with FVL, maybe we can check in and share our injection adventures.
Wishing us all uneventful and successful pregnancies!
