I'll be there just before you during the week! Have fun!
I haven't been there in a few years...but I know they have Fort Mackinac which is cool, a lot of historical places to go to including the Grand Hotel... and they have some awesome biking trails with some pretty look outs... Just the general ambiance is great I love it there! mmm and the fudge
This time however I think my experience will be a little different with being prego...we plan on taking carriage rides for tours and such
Ok we are back:) It was such a great time. We ate at the Pink Pony, Mary's Bistro, and Goodfellow's Chop House. I LOVED Mary's and would highly recommend it- it was so good! Goodfellows was good too- large portions and reasonably priced. I was disappointed in the Pink Pony. Pricier than it should have been IMO and not a lot of food.
We did a carriage tour and it was really cool. We saw parts of the island that I hadn't seen before. Libby slept through most of it so that was a bonus too:) We also rented bikes- they have Burleys for the babies (which are little trailers). We also did a lot of walking around. Where are you staying?
Thanks jsmo for all the great tips! I will check out Marys!
We aren't staying on the island b/c I wasn't sure if I would get bored with three days on the island and we might check out the water park not on the island one day.
I want to rent bikes but the rental place said the burleys are for 9+ months. I wonder if it really matters???
I wouldn't think it would matter...they have little car seats they can put in there to strap them in. Libby only weighs about 18 pounds and I'm sure there are younger than 9 month old kids who weigh that much and she did fine in there. We rented them from the place that is right next to the Shepler's dock and they were really nice and so were their bikes.
The water park looks awesome! We stayed at the Iroquois Hotel. It was really nice, good location. You guys are going to have a great time! Lexi will love it:)
I have not been there in awhile so I have no suggestions. I just wanted to add that I'm driving up to the Soo that weekend so maybe we'll be stuck in traffic together along 75

Oh please no traffic! I deal with it everyday for work.
Oh random question for you - where is that picture taken of you guys with all those flowers in your bio? It looks gorgeous! Congrats on second tri!
Thanks on both! That was at the conservatory at Belle Isle, it's so beautiful in there.
