What do I do?!

A has finally hit the stage where every time I try to put her to bed, she begs for mommy to stay and snuggle, or to come back.  I hate letting her cry it out, and I want to really spend as much time as possible with her before E gets here, but I don't want to build false expectations or create more problems for when E does get here....HELP-I feel like such a bad mommy right now!

    I give S a limit and then sorta count down with her.  Like I will say, "Ok, mommy will stay with you for 10 minutes and rub your back but then you have to go to sleep by yourself like a big girl."  I'll let her know when we have five minutes of snuggle time left, three minutes, etc.  Normally with a little prep work she does fine.

    This!  well, kinda.  DS is still in a crib so we don't snuggle in bed, but he'll always ask for more stories.  so now we give him a limit.  he can pick 3 stories and then he has to go night-night.  he does much better with knowing his limits.
