I like it spelled this way, but generally I like Cs over Ks. I don't see it come up as a name when I search in on my usual sites, so maybe K is the original spelling.
I know a little boy named Kaya. I always thought it sounded kinda girly. I'm not sure what gender it's supposed to be for actually. But I do prefer it with a K over the C.

I like it because it is different, and you can nearly guarentee that no other girls in school will have the same name.
On another note though...with a C it may be pronounced wrong by all of her teachers!
Truthfully... a friend recently named her baby this but spelled Kaya, which seems easier for people to pronounce since it's like Maya but with a K.

My sister's name is Caja (pronouced Kai-ya) - its cornish and means daisy.
Love this name, but prefer it spelled Kaya.
