Opinions on names

DH and I have decided on one and only one name if our baby happens to be a boy.

However, for a girl, we've come up with a few that we like. I was just interested on seeing what name other people like best. Smile

If it matters, our last name is two syllables and begins with a hard C sound.

Annabelle Marie

Lucille Jane

Lilian Marie

Also, I realize that my name choices are considered a little "old-fashioned." I'm okay with that, I like it actually.

And I prefer very feminine sounding names for girls which is how I ended up with the ones I did.

although girlie sounding names arent my style - i do think that Lillian and Annabelle are both very pretty. not a fan of Lucille. it makes me think of lucille ball.

Yeah, I did forget to mention nicknames. Another reason I liked all three, they all have pretty natural nicknames: Anna (or, not quite as likely, Belle), Lucy, Lily.

I Like Annabelle, but I would go with Annabelle Jane. Marie is just so ubiquitous and boring IMO.

Wow, you're right, I never realized! I've never looked at the list before, but apparently, Lillian has jumped 100 places in the last ten years. I prefer Lilian, but it's splitting hairs, really.

Annabelle for sure because I'm in love with the name/nickname "Anna". Lucille is a little nasal-sounding. Lilian is pretty, too, but I don't like Lily as much as Anna.
