AW: Bring on the NB fluff!

Just found out last night we are expecting our second! While it was somewhat planned (we were planning on TTC after this cycle lol), we are both kind of freaked (2u2!) but totally excited. EDD of January 18th.

So you know I just started CDing DD, and I love it. I am hooked. My question is what would you do differently the second time around?

I have mostly collected fitteds/covers, one-size pockets and two bg AIOs for DD, and I really like what I have. Is prefolds pretty much the way to go with NBs?

    Congrats to you!!!

    We did PFs exclusively with DD in the beginning and they worked well for us.  This time around we're branching out though.  We're going to do mostly PFs & fitteds with a few AIOs and pockets thrown in.  I really liked the BG XS AIOs & XS FBs once we tried them, so I want to have a few of those on hand.

    DS was 10lbs1oz, so we're not planning on buying any NB CDs because chances are, DC#2 will be in our current OS stash within 2-3 weeks.  I've looked into a NB CD rental program and there isn't one locally (and I'm in Canada, so many of the 'regular' websites don't apply).  We *may* do a service for the first couple of weeks, depending on cost because the we're about 40 minutes outside of the local diaper service area.  I'm just waiting for the owner to get back to me and let me know what we're looking at.

    IF we were buying NB CDs, I'd probably go with 2 dozen PFs and a dozen AIOs b/c DH doesnt like using covers over anything....

    Congrats!!  I have a newborn and love the GMD prefolds in orange with a cover.  We hae had great success thus far and no explosions like when we were using disposibles the first few days!

    Congrats! I had 6 thirsties duo covers, 24 PFs & 12 kl0s, and a couple BG XS AIOs but didn't like the AIOs much because they weren't absorbent enough for us. I kinda wish I had had 18 kl0s but the 36 total was sufficient.
