Favorite AIOs?

In order to get DH on board with CDs, it needs to be a simple and close to disposables as possible.  So I think AIOs are the way to go.  I'm just starting to research CDing and am overwhelmed at all the options.

What is your favorite brand of AIO and why?

Re: Favorite AIOs?

  • Bum Genius. I love all their diapers. Pockets, Organics and their sized AIOs!! I've tried Fuzzi Bunz, Good Mama and thirsties and they all seem to leak for us.

  • I love my BG sized AIOs.  DD started wearing the Medium size around 8-10 weeks old and she's still wearing them.  The velcro is starting to wear a bit and don't stick to the laundry tabs.  It is annoying to pull the diapers apart when I take them out of the wash but they are in great shape other than that.

I also LOVE BumWare Extreme AIOs but they cost more so we only have a handful.  I have two regular and three organic.  The regular ones seem to run smaller.  They are more trim and dry faster than the BG AIOs and the velcro is crazy strong.

I recently got a couple of GAD sized AIOs too.  I got them w/snaps.  They fit great on DD.  They come in a ton of cute color combos.  So far, we haven't had any leaks or anything. The insert is only sewn on the top and bottom so you have to straighten it out sometimes before putting it on but it makes them dry faster when you flip them inside out.

I don't like BG Organics or Bottom Bumpers because I don't like the loose insert.  I like the ones that are sewn in.  My DD it to squirmy to keep the thing straight during diaper changes.  The Bottom Bumpers never fit right either.

    This for the same reasons.

It's the only cloth diaper that DH will touch. He calls other CDs like pockets, prefolds, fitteds etc. "cyborg diapers" (ironic really).

Green Acres Designs.  I bought them on sale at Sew Crafty Baby (free shipping)

The BumWare are DH's favorite because they are essentially just like a disposable.  There's no pocket or flap or anything to have to adjust before putting them on.

BG Organic's inserts ARE sewn in.

I mean sewn in completely like the regular BG AIOs so the insert isn't flapping around and needing to be adjusted and straightened during diaper changes.  I am mostly referring to the Bottom Bumpers insert which is only sewn in on the top.  OP is looking for something as easy as a disposable which is why I mentioned that.  My DH particularly HATES having to adjust anything when DD is thrashing and twisting and trying to get away.
