Anyone's LO have a hernia?

Hi! My daughter has always been a squirmer lol but lately I noticed she will hold her side and press in with her fist. I always associated this with her being in her carseat or stroller and wanting to get out. But now she is doing it all the time! I am thinking maybe she has a hernia. Anyone have experience with this? She has an doctor's appointment on Wednesday so I will bring it up then. I guess it's pretty common in babies, I will feel bad if she has been in pain the whole time with this! TIA

    Asher has an umblical hernia but it doesn't bother him. He's just sometimes got an outie belly button, and sometimes an innie. His pedi said that we should wait until he's 2 to consider getting it fixed. The umblical hernias are pretty common but ones on the side of the belly aren't as common. Definitely something to get checked out. HTH.

    Ditto the umbilical hernia- DD1 has a minor one, which pedi said could resolve on its own by age 4. If not, we'll discuss options. BUT, yes, I'd call them immediately on a non-congenital hernia. GL!
