EPers work their @sses off IMO. BFing is way way easier. I hate pumping for three days at work, I can't imagine all the time.
When I was pregnant, my sister was EPing and I thought well if BFing doesn't work I'll just EP too, it seems so easy.... wrong. The washing all the bottles and the time it takes to bottle feed. I also think that BFing way easier than formula feeding. JMO
BF. Food is always ready and the right temp. No prep other than lifting your shirt. Baby gets foremilk and hindmilk seperately as nature intended rather than mixed together. Baby controls how much they eat - much better for them then being urged to finish off a bottle. Baby can comfort suck when they need. Supply is maintained much easier by a baby nursing.
EP seems to be a recipe for supply drying up early. I have seen post after post of woman saying they get no let down after a month or two. Continually having to wash stuff. Double the work having to pump and then feed.
Naturally many women must do some pumping as they return to work.
As others have said, EP is exhausting and time-consuming in a way that EBF isn't. I pump at work and bf the rest of the time. I hate pumping, but I do it. If for some reason I REALLY REALLY couldn't bf with my next one, I'd still try to EP but man, pumping really sucks.
I BF most of the time but I do need to pump a couple days a week while I work. I hate pumping for all the same reasons mentioned above...it's time consuming, I get sick of washing parts and bottles, etc. I give a ton of credit to EPers...it must be difficult to stick with it.
I BF and pump at work. BF is BY FAR easier! The hardest part is the first couple of weeks- teaching them to latch on and getting used to the feeling of nursing. After that, it's pretty much smooth sailing- at least in my experience. With BF, the milk is always available, at the right temp, and you don't have to clean up. Like pp, I hate washing my pump parts and bottles every night! Also, BF comforts DS more than a bottle. BF doesn't just provide nourishment, it provides emotional support when LOs aren't feeling well. Win/win all the way around

We're were a big, fat fail at EBF, so obviously EP is much much easier for us. We try BF about once a day and he crys, falls asleep and just wants nothing to do with it and has been like that since day 1. Giving up the fight has made life much easier. I've mastered the art of feeding while pumping, normally I am done pumping before he finishes his bottle. Washing a sink of dishes really isn't that hard and the two seconds it takes to put a nipple on the bottle doesn't inconvenience me in any way. He is gaining weight like a champ which most certainly would not have been the case had we continued BF. I have a huge freezer stash due to having increased my supply beyond his needs. Plus, since I having been pumping since birth, I've been able to acclimate my supply to only pumping in the morning before work and during the evenings.
I actually enjoy pumping. It doesn't hurt and it gives me a chance to relax for 15 minutes a few times a day.

The poll is phrased kinda odd... the vast majority of people who do EP don't do it because they want to- they do it because they feel that was the best/only way to give their baby breastmilk... how easy it is is not the issue- how important it is to them is!
I have never fed a baby a bottle of anything. I never had to. I have been able to accomidate my nursing baby into my life from birth to weaning each time. I am very lucky. That may not always be the easiest way to do things - but it works for me. I think nothing could be easier than nursing- warm, sanitary, fresh, on tap everywhere I go, the power can go out- in the middle of the woods... it's right there ready.... no looking for an outlet, carrying a pump, rotating a freezer supply, scalding the lipase out, remembering how long the milk in the bottle will be good, finding mold in the tubing, washing the parts, choosing the right bottles...
Re: EPing or EBFing? Clicky poll.

Duh, I voted for BFing but I do both. When I work I pump but not because it is easier, because I have to. It sucks!
