So yesterday, we spent all day on the boat. I had put the dog in her room which is closed off with a baby gate. Apparently, she can open the baby gate because we found her roaming the house. She had been in the house almost 10 hours. (Not a big deal for her. She's never had an accident in her room when left for that long.) She peed on my hardwood floor. It is already buckling.

We are not in a good place right now to pay to have it fixed. It is not in a place where I can creatively cover it.
Re: I could kill my dog...
Geesh really?
I have hardwood floors in two rooms, and have dogs/kids pee on them, along with other fluids come in contact, and none of the floors are buckling! How long ago were they installed?

Wow, I'm surprised at this too. We have hardwood, and D is constantly spilling water. One night we left a leaking sippy on the floor over night, and even though our builder did a crappy job installing our floor, we've never had it buckle because of it.
It was installed when the house was built 6 years ago.
Yep. It's buckling.
10 hours is a little long, but not unusual. She doesn't have accidents.
So, you want to kill your dog because she had to go to the bathroom and you were not around for a long time to let her out?
How often do you go ten hours with out peeing (besides when you are sleeping)? Poor puppy.
PSST - I don't think she meant that she literally wants to take the dog out back with a shotgun and kill it.
Just sayin. Chillax lady.
