when will BGOS fit a new baby?

I didnt CD until ds was 4 mo last time, he was at least 15 lbs by then and I used BGOS. Now DS is almost grown out of is so we will use them for DD.

I have borrowed a friends stash of PF's and covers for when our new baby comes, and she gave me some premie PF's and will be giving me some nb PF's too.

My question is, how long until your baby fit into the BGOS? at what weight?

    about 4-5 weeks. She hit 10 pounds pretty fast.

    ok so around 10 lbs? that sounds like it will be pretty quick for us =) ds was 8lb 5 oz thanks!

    10 lbs doesn't always mean anything - DS was 8 lbs 11 oz at birth and is nowhere near fitting into the OS dipes because he has scrawny chicken legs.  The general thinking is 10-12 lbs.

    yeah, they fit DD at 10 pounds, but she has chunky thighs. Thats definitely part of it (The legs)

    Dd recently hit 10 lbs and they still don't fit her right because she doesn't have chunky thighs. We stick to fitteds and pf's with her mostly. Bgs are my last resort for her even at 3.5 months old.

    It definitely depends on the babe's shape. Though typical thinking is 10 lbs. They didn't fit my babe until he was about 4 months.
