Is it too late to plant stuff?

I am nowhere close to a gardener... but I can eat up some tomatoes.  Is it too late in the year to plant some?  Is there any EF factor to the topsy turvy?

Re: Is it too late to plant stuff?

  • Absolutely not too late! Not sure where you are located but I just put my tomatoes in the ground last night. It was too early before now. Tomatoes are a later crop in most area if you're planting from seedlings (as opposed to directly from seed).

Here's a good site that will show you the zones and gives a planting guide for your zone. https://thevegetablegarden.info/resources/planting-schedules

  • The gardeners here were saying to not even plant veggies until next week...we had snow this week, so we're not quite out of the woods.

  • It's actually borderline too early to plant tomatoes here... so definitely not too late :)

  • Definitely not too late.  We've started seeds, but most of our plants won't go in the ground until next week or the week after.
