Pampers Overnights leaking all of a sudden?

DD wears size 5 diapers now, but all of a sudden these Overnights ones are leaking like a sieve at night--ridiculous!  I think the weight requirement is 27lbs + but no guidelines as to when they're too small.  She's maybe 29lbs soaking wet as far as I can tell.  And the same size Pampers Baby Dry don't leak at night.

Is it the Overnights, or the size, or something else?  Stumped...and of course I just bought and opened a HUGE box of the Overnights..grr..

  • Sometimes we go through a phase like that.  Is it possible she's thinning out and you need to make the waist tighter? I've had to do that before.

Is she drinking more right before bed lately?

Those are my only suggestions. GL!

I take the weight requirements with a grain of salt.  D is probably only 26-27 pounds, and size 5s are already getting a little small - he's a big boy, though.  And it seems to me like Pampers diapers, even though they are the same size, fit differently - Cruisers seem bigger than Baby Dry, and Baby Dry seem a little bigger than Overnights.  I'm not even sure - do they make bigger Overnights?  I don't think I've seen bigger than 5, but I'd probably try a larger size.

Although I do agree w/ pp - D has some nights where he drinks a ton and leaks no matter what.  How many nights has she leaked?  If it's only been one or two, I'd try them again.
