Openmindedness. Or tolerance might be a better way to put it.
I have nightmares that my kid will turn into my dad when he can talk. My mom did an awesome job of counteracting all of my dad's sexism/racism general intolerance of anyone who isn't him etc. and I hope that my kid will be far enough from him that he doesn't even get a chance to be influenced.
