It is possible though I don't know anyone personally who has. The PP period means that you've ovulated once already- so you could get pregnant during that ovulation.
I got pregnant while BFing, but I wasn't nursing 5-6x a day. DS was nightweaned and we were probably doing 3-4 sessions a day. AF had never returned and we got PG within 2 weeks of stopping prevention.
I have at least 3 friends who had 2 under 2 (conceived the 2nd LO before the first one was one year) and had not had a real PP AF- 2 were EBF'ing and one BF'd w/ probably 1 bottle of formula a week (she got her BFP when her DD was 6 months old.)
I was still BFing DD 4-6x a day when I got pregnant w/ DS, but DD was like 16 months old and AF had been back for 5-6 months...
Re: Clicky Poll: bfing and ttc
One word: Duggar.
I always thought she weaned around 6 months, but I don't really watch the show.
I got a "warning" period 14.5 months pp and then o'd exactly 16 months pp - she was still breastfeeding multiple times a day and sometimes at night.
