  Uhhh I would have judged too.

  I would NEVER leave my child alone in a hotel room...What the hell were they thinking!

  I can imagine thinking that's a good idea initially, then realizing that there are multiple reasons it is not.  (like dozens of other people having keys and access to the room)

  I thought the same thing. Not to mention the maids & other employees that were in & out of the room multiple times a day.

  That's pretty bad. I have a confession, though. When we were in Cozumel last January, we stayed at an AI and our room was on the first floor. We used to hang out on the patio while the boys were napping. Once, when DH was out snorkling, I hopped the railing and raced over to the bar (couldn't have been more than 40 feet away, and our patio was in plain sight) for a pina colada, then ran back and climbed back over. I was gone three minutes, tops.

  That is one thing but, even the 1st floor rooms were more than 200 ft from the pool.

  Exactly! I was in the room while DS was napping & had a sign out - they knocked  & before I could get out of the bed (where I was trying to nap) the maid was opening the door - which happened twice!

  Wow. I feel terrible the few times I have run to the basement of our building to do laundry while DD is sleeping, even though I limit the trips to 3-4 minutes tops and can see DD's bedroom window from the basement window in the laundry room. (And we live on the first floor of the building.)

  kinda tempting....yes.

  good idea...not at all.

  There's just too much at risk....besides random workers coming in the room, what if there were a fire or something in the hotel and you couldn't get back to the room?!
