It's not dumb. I don't think I would give it because it is flat and kinda hard to chew/gum into something soft to swallow. If you really want to try it, give spinach instead because it is easier to chew/breaks down better and also is much more nutritional.

i agree that lettuce would probably be hard to chew without many teeth.
