Can contractions make you feel a little nauseous?

I think I've been having some contractions off and on here lately.  Problem is, since I didn't have any last time, I'm really not sure.  Can they make you feel nauseous?

  • Wow, this could be it.  Yes, for me they did, they made me vomit, but that was once hard labor started.  I had DS at 33 weeks, soooo... today could be the day!  How far appart are the contraction?

  • Mine didn't but I've heard they definitely can.
  • They made me feel kinda crappy. I didn't want to puke or anything, but I didn't feel great

Oh they're very very irregular.  I don't think it's labor...but then again I didn't go into labor last time so what do I know.  I just feel sick, exhausted, tired and in pain LOL.

Yes they can. However, when I felt it I wanted to vomit because of the pain. Your body might just be gearing up for the big show.

  • Yes.  Are you feeling sick with the contractions, or just sick in general?  I have been having waves of nausea for about the past week or so.  It isnt fun, and I dont remember having this with Brady.  Just another fun part of the last trimester!
  • I was nauseous my entire pregnancy and even dry heaved during labor, but that may have been from the epi.  GL!!!!!

  • When I told my MW I was having some irregular contractions, she asked if I felt sick. I said yes and she said that probably meant my body was releasing prostaglandins and the contractions were causing cervical change. That was a couple weeks ago and I still have no baby, so it wasn't early labor for me, just end of pregnancy stuff.
