Weird topic, I know, lol. My son (4 yo) has very sensitive feet, and in summer they tend to peel to the point of bleeding (hot weather, sweat, wet shoes/sandals...bad combo). His doctor told us to apply vaseline and neosporin nightly and have him wear thick socks to bed, and to get good, breathable sandals for him but didn't have any suggestions as to what brand. (We have him go barefoot a lot, but we have a really wooded yard so it's not really practical all the time).
Any suggestions for brands? He currently wears Target brand sandals and Crocs, but those are the culprits. Some of the ones I've thought of (ie. Tevas) are close to $50 and while I don't mind spending it, I'd like to have some recommendations. Thanks!!
Re: Breath-able sandals/shoes for kids?
Teva
Keen
Birkenstock
Ecco
Check out brands on REI.com. Teva's would be good. I'd say anything that doesn't have a plastic sole, which I think all Target sandals do.
I've had really good luck on REI-outlet.com and 6pm.com for discount shoes. All the brands listed above are on 6pm.com for a third of the normal price.

Thanks for the advice, ladies (for the websites too)! Canvas is a good thought, I'll look into that for the shoes.
