Where are they at (and I'm not talking about those with 3rd row seats)? Do you have one behind each seat with the middle seat open? One in the middle and one on a side? If that's the case, which side and who's in the middle (infant or convertable)?
ds1 is behind the driver seat and ds2 is in the middle. We were originally going to leave the middle open, but the arrangement we have now allows for someone to actually sit in the back seat comfortably. So far ds1 hasn't messed with ds2 too much.
3 year old DD is behind the driver (FFing) and 1 year old DS (RFing) is behind the passenger. The middle is open, but I don't think anyone could fit in there.

wow, they fit next to each other? I didn't think they would. We have them on the outsides, mainly because I don't really think they'd fit side by side. In my car, a civic, noone can fit in the middle. Someone can sit in the middle in dh's car but you have to climb in before the infant carseat is put in or you can't get in.

Yes, they fit just fine. I drive a Ford Explorer. I'm so glad we have them like this so someone can actually sit in the back.

That must make the difference, your car is bigger!

Ok so silly question, who do you put in first? Do you put DS1 in then go around to the other side to do DS2? Put DS2 in over DS1's seat then put DS1 in?

If I am alone, (which is rare) I have DS2 already in his carseat and hold DS1's hand as I snap it into the base from the passenger's side, then I go around to the driver's side and put DS1 in his seat. If DH or someone else is with me we just each grab a kid.
Convertable (RF) behind passenger, infant bucket behind driver (for the baby I babysit...but will be the same when LO arrives...unless we decide to switch W FF).
We have the infant seat behind the driver and the convertible seat behind the passenger. I didn't want to put the infant seat next to the convertible seat because I didn't want to have to worry about what DD #1 would do to #2 while I'm driving
In my car (Accord) and in DH's truck (Trailblazer) the way the latch system works we could not have the seats next to each other b/c the middle seat shares it's latches w/ the outside seat. So there are only 4 latch hooks in either of our back seats, you can either use the middle two for the middle seat of use them w/ the side seats, does that make sense?!?!
I am pretty sure you can't have two car seats hooked up to one latch hook, but if I am wrong this would be great news to us!

#1 is RFing behind the driver. #2 is still in the infant seat behind the passenger.
When #1 gets her FFing car seat it will go behind the passenger and #2 will be moved to the convertible seat behind the driver.
