And I have no sense of what colors DH, DD, and I should wear. I want something classic and really stand out in the outdoors. We are going to a very neat venue with old college buildings. I am thinking polo shirt for DH, jean skirt and top for me, and a matching dress for DD. What color combos would be great together??
Re: We are having pictures taken on Sat! Color combo question.
I have to disagree, white can really wash you out unless you have darker/olive skin. But I would go with solid colors, no patterns that might date. I saw one recently that was really cute, you wear red, DH wears blue, and LO wears purple. So if you wear a red top, put DH in a bright blue polo, and LO in a purple dress. Like, blue and red make purple?

Okay, so in this instance, it's blue, pink, purple, but you get the idea.
Ditto PP - solid colors, no patterns. As far as colors themselves, that's just a personal preference. I prefer family pictures where there are a couple/few colors (or shades of the same color) so it's not too matchy-matchy.
We're having family pictures taken next Wednesday and I'm still mulling over what to wear. DS is wearing his birthday outfit (navy blue gingham romper with an embroidered bear), and I think I'm going to bring jeans or denim overalls with a plain shirt. I still have no idea what DH and I are going to wear, other than that we're thinking jeans and solid color shirts. It might be easiest to go with navy or white for both of us, but I don't want to be too matchy-matchy.
