December 2010 Moms

Funny post baby story.

Ok, so this was in the June cosmo male Confessions section and I had to share because I think its pretty awesome.

Oh Baby!- "At the office, I bumped into a few of my female co-workers standing around and chatting really excitedly outside the bathrooms. One of them was pregnant and looked like she seriously might give birth at any minute. I asked her 'So when are you finally going to have this baby?' 'I did', she replied, 'about 6 weks ago.' Everyone around looked pretty much horrified".

I just had to post this considering this same thing happened to me! My son was in the hospital due to jaundice for an extra day, they however discharged me but let me stay in the hospital with him since I was the only one there! Anyhow they discharged me and my hubs and I went to the grocery store to grab some supplies and snacks for 1 more night and while there I saw one of my moms good friends who actually works at the L&D department with my mother. She asked "Any contractions yet? Are they doing to induce you?" I said um ya actually I had about 18 hours of contractions and 4 hours of pushing about 3 days ago.. he's still at the hospital. Anywho, just thought it was to cute to pass up.

  • This happened to me!  My baby had jaundice as well and had to stay in the hospital.  Well, I had to leave at midnight two days after he was born.  After about an hour of looking at him through the nursery window, I left to get my pain meds.  As I was paying for them and buying nipple cream the lady working there asks me when I am due,  I lost it!  Why would I be here getting all these pain meds?!  I had been crying my eyes out because I had to leave my baby and I was in no mood for her.  I hope she never makes that mistake again!

  • Seriously? She worked there! Haha. My brother is 8 and I am 23, when he was born he was in the NICU for being very early- only 3lbs 12oz. My mom had an emergency csection and he was born in a pretty big hospital. My father and mother and I went into see him with her when she was able to and the nurse said, "Oh isn't that nice, mother and grandparents. Its so nice to see parent support teen moms." I was like uhh seriously, she is the one wearing the hospital attire! 2ndly this is the NICU, so aren't you supposed to know the info for safety sake?
