I don't mean to be offensive or anything, I'm genuinely curious. If you're not comfortable, don't answer my question ![]()
So, during pregnancy my nipples have gotten WAY darker (like, it's insane how much color change there has been), and my *ahem* lady bits have also darkened in color.
I was wondering if you've noticed any color change? Like I said, I don't want to be rude or intrusive, but I'm curious. TIA.
Re: Question for the black/African American/dark-skinned ladies...
I know that I've seen a huge difference because my skin is light to begin with, so I didn't know if since these areas started out darker they would also get darker, or if they would stay the same. I assumed that they would, since it's a hormonal change that all pregnant women go through, but I was particularly interested in that group.
Um, yeah, why does your sister see your nipples on a frequent enough basis to know what they normally look like?
I know the purpose is to aid in finding the breast for breastfeeding (or at least part) but mine have not gotten any darker. However, the 'braille' bumps in the areola have increased in number.
And I don't think this question is offensive at all.
I just asked DH, because I haven't really noticed a change.
He say my aerolas have gotten a little bit darker.
What has been crazy is linea negra. It was our first sign that we may be pregnant. It was noticeable at 6 weeks, but it has grown darker with time.
Wow! I can't believe you saw your linea negra so early! That's really interesting.
I'm fairly light mocha colored, and I've noticed the aureola(sp?) is a little darker than it was, but it's definitely expanded out some. It used to be maybe a little bigger quarter size, now I'd say it's about silver dollar sized.
As for the linea negra, I've always had one; I can't tell it's it darker but it is a little wider than it used to be.
And I haven't seen my lady bits in 2 months, so I really can't say =/. It probably is darker than there though. I'll find out in less than 2 weeks hopefully!
