I have been over-stressed at work lately, to the point where I have atleast one mental break down a week. I get so overwhelmed and just start crying. Work is too demanding for me and I am worried it will have a physical effect on my body or worse, on the baby. Any insight on this?
Thanks!
Re: How bad is stress on the baby?
I think our babies can tolerate the stress we go through much better than we can. If you think of it, there are women who unfortunately have had to endure death and breakups during their pg; imagine that kind of stress!
I've had several...SEVERAL nervous breakdown moments during this pg. I have to snap myself out of it and realize it's only a temporary feeling and will pass. Plus it makes me look like complete sh!t! Not good on my beginning-wrinkly face!
Hang in there! Take a walk, a warm bath...go shopping!
My baby has been in Children's Hospital due to Meconium Aspiration for the past 2 months....She had distress in the womb a day before she was born, made a bowel movement and swallowed it. It got in her lungs and she's been in NICU from the time she was born until 2:30 pm today where she moved to the Special Care Unit at Children's Hospital...
I'm not sure if it was because I was stressing, or if it was because of something else!? .. Juts try and stay calm and level headed!
DD had meconium asp. as well...and I was not stressed out at all in the days/weeks leading up to her delivery. Just another scenario to not scare you!
