Why is it that people tell me "Happy Mother's Day" today when I don't have kids and no one even knows we've been TTC. (We've been trying since just after Christmas.)
Is anyone else getting this?? Is it weird that I think it's odd that people tell me Happy Mom's Day? Guess it uust kind of stings a little since my period was due yesterday and HPT was BFN today.
Re: Happy Mother's Day????
I think it's just a thing people say. Most people have a mom, and you could be a mom. Strangers don't know that you don't have kids. I'm sorry it's bothering you today, that must be rough
My mom has always bought me cards for Mother's Day, even when I was a teenager, because I will someday be a mom, and I'm the reason she is a mom. I think it's nice.
itsmegin - that's so nice of you mom to have bought you cards, how sweet.
See, I don't know if I agree with it. I think that it's out of habit that people say it. They are in auto-pilot and just say it w/o thinking.
