not the greatest 1st mother's day ... anyone else?

... but i'll take it :) 

we lost power yesterday evening just as we were getting ready for bath time dinner and bed.  unfortunately when our power goes out we also have no running water.  we had nowhere to stay but my parents -- unfortunately my mom had a stomach virus the day before and my dad has a cold.  i am a huge germ -phobe but we had no choice.  Thank goodness the power is back on and we are home now but DD did not sleep well in a "strange place" last night and I have been in a constant state of panic wondering whether we are all going to get the stomach virus now!  anyone want to talk me off the ledge?  i mean, if my mom was not having symptoms anymore, and was washing her hands, and we were washing our hands, we're not that likely to have gotten it from her, right?  someone make me feel better, please :) 

with all that said, i am so incredibly grateful to be spending this day with my amazing daughter (even though she is tired and cranky) and thinking about my angel baby in Heaven.  i am truly blessed and proud to be a mama.

anyone else not having the greatest day?

    I was up all night with Reagan who had a 102-103 degree temp all night.  And this morning we found out that hospice was called for DH's uncle (who is only 49) who is battling cancer.  Not a wonderful day.  But I am so blessed in so many ways.  I hope your day gets better :)
