I'm a runner. I run A LOT. I also worry A LOT that my running contributed to my m/c and/or is preventing me from conceiving.
At last years Boston Marathon, they interviewed Kara Goucher (the first American favored to win the women's race in years). I LOVED Kara. She's cute, bubbly, and competitive.
She said in the interview "I'm going to take this next year off and have a baby. That way, it'll be perfect timing to start training for the 2012 olympics."
At the time I thought to myself 'Yeah, good luck planning exactly when you have a baby.' Especially with her running 100+ miles a week, I figured it would be harder than she anticipated.
We all see where this is going. She is pregnant, due in October, and set to start training for 2012 right after she gives birth.
Re: ok, this BFP really gets under my skin.
And of course I worry about my running having something to do with my m/c and yet Kara Goucher ran 13 miles at a 6:50 min/mile pace. Ridiculous.
