I know this question gets asked every other day, but DD absolutely will not drink milk from a sippy. I haven't been worried about it too much, and she's been taking 4 (4oz) bottles -- first thing in the morning, 11.30 pre-nap, 4.30 snack and bedtime. Last week she gave up the 4.30, which was great. I just incorporated the ounces into the other 3 bottles and gave her a yogurt or cheese stick at 4.30 for a snack instead.
This morning, she refused her first bottle (which she usually drinks while snuggling with us in bed) AND her 11.30 bottle pre-nap. I tried to offer her milk in a sippy at breakfast, and of course, she refused.
So -- what now!? How do I get her to drink milk? I know everyone says "go cold turkey" but then do I not offer her water in a sippy either (which she loves and drinks all the time)?
HELP, PLEASE!!
Re: Refusing bottles - need advice please
I don't know if you have see but Nuk makes a "sippy cup" top that will fit on their bottle so that is what we are using for his "night time drink"
We tried it last night & it worked great (so much smother then the day before with a hard spout)
I also did cold turkey & it worked great but I think it really depends on the kid
She'll be fine without any milk at all. She can get all the calcium she needs from yogurt, cheese and other foods, you just have to be more conscious of it. Good luck.
