Fan-fvcking-tastic (TMI)

I have a flipping yeast infection. I feel like an old man itching myself. I suspected it earlier with some questionable  discharge and uncomfortableness. Now it's burning, itching and nasty. 

What's the best and easiest for this? I've used Monistat, it's ok....

    Ughhh YIs are the worst sorry to hear!! I find that Diflucan (sp?) works best, but only safe while TTAing and you'll need a Rx...other than that I usually use Monistat the three day kind. HTH!

    Ughh... I just had one a couple of weeks ago along with a bacterial infection. It was a great time. My OB gave me diflucan for the yeast, but I've used Monistat before. I would go for the 3 or 7 day stuff though if you're getting that. I've tried the 1 day creams and they don't seem to work as well. I've also taken a pill called Yeast Gard. It's a probiotic you can take daily. Sorry, I hope it gets better soon.

    i know this sounds crazy...and i wouldn't believe it were true if it wasn't my very best friend who did it....BUT...her mom's an OB/GYN nurse.  she told her than they whole yogurt in your vagina thing is true.  she told her to put a tampon into plain yogurt and insert it.  changing every 2-3 hours.  she did it and by the end of the day her symptoms were gone.  i think it's totally weird and i'd read about it before, but i thought 'no way'.  but really, she's very anti-medicine and she did it and it worked.  quickly.  i'll try it next time, but i'll definitely feel weird about it.

    I'm on meds for an infection I got after the m/c. I'm not really surprised I got a YI since I'm not eating yogurt or anything. Shlt. I just realized it's going to be the freaking weekend! Grrr. I guess I'll pick up cream in the morning and call on Monday.

    Thanks ladies! I took Diflucan a while ago if I remember right.

    blah, I hope you are feeling better soon.
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    I've heard this, too.  Or a garlic clove, but UNpuctured, as that would burn.  Never tried it myself.  I think I have one right now too-- but I have AF, so I will wait to treat.

    Ugh those are the worst. I use Monistat 3 day ovules and try to eat extra yogurt!

     Feel better soon!

    I believe Monistat has a 1 day thing now!

    Also, I like using the oral pills-Azo Yeast or something.  You can take them even if you feel them coming on and it will help.
