in hopes that I can bite my tongue the rest of the night. I have "baby-cue" tonight it's a coed bar-b-cue baby shower. I'm really excited for my friend who is having the baby- she went through a loss and had a hard time getting pregnant again, etc... however, her SIL is an ex-friend of mine who is a self-centered b!tch. Key point, when she was planning her wedding I had 6 friends die in 3 months and I was talking to her on AIM. I ask her things are going she says "they suck" I say why?, she says it's so hard to plan a wedding from 3000 mile away. I say well, it could be worse. she says I don't know how. I say I've lost 6 friends in 3 months, all due to freak accidents. Then she goes on to talk about her wedding. That was the last time spoke. But she'll be there tonight with her 1 year old who is having his first birthday party tomorrow. Yay?!? Well, I just POAS and got a BFN so I can drink tonight- not a lot just enough to take the edge off! Sorry this is long but I feel better having said it.

    Well, that's just awful all around.  I hope you can find someone nice to talk to all night and distance yourself.

    Also, the term baby-cue is a little sketchy, no?  Like they're grilling the babies?

    Well, DH is coming and he hates her as much as I do so if she says anything he is all ready to knock her out or at least get in a battle of words with him.

    YESSS!!!!  Do this!!  And "baby-cue" is totally creepy, IMO.  Just get through it, you don't have to be nice to anyone :)  THat's how I get through work every day!!! LOL!
