My mom washed the floral fabric before making the bedding. The taffeta is dry clean only (and only used for accents and the skirt) so we didn't get that dry cleaned.
Yes. With DS I washed everything (sheets, bumper, blankets, etc.) that was washable that he could come into contact with. Whenever I get around to purchasing bedding for this DC, I'll do the same.
With DD, I washed all the bedding (including the mattress pad) before I put it on the bed. I was also team green and our bedding was neutral so there was no chance I'd have to return it.

Are you washing now and putting it away or are you keeping everthing up but washing again right before LO arrives?
I probably won't wash it or set it up until we get closer to the due date. We have 3 cats, so even if we did wash it, I'd want to wash it again for fear that there would be cat fur all over it (plus, I'm not 100% convinced the cats won't think the crib is for them!). So, I'll probably start washing & setting up stuff come August or so.
We have it set up and we haven't washed it yet (with the exception of the mattress pad, its from my sons old crib and we washed it when I took it off)... I'll be washing the crib sheet and thats it because thats all they use/touch

I have had the crib set up with the bedding for a while now. I will most likely wash all the bedding again when we get closer to using it. DS won't be in his crib in the beginning so I will probably wait until he is ready to move into his own room.
Re: Those who set up a crib with bedding..Puhleaze come in..
