Normally do them myself. I did get a mani/pedi done on Friday because I had a gift certificate to this one place. The pedi was great, but the french manicure was mediocre. It started chipping in only a few days.

Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I rarely go to a salon, usually for an event. Normally I go with buff and clear and if I use color I take it off after 3 days, especially on my fingers.
Ok when I use to make bank I got a mani and pedi done 1 time every 2 weeks. So I love getting them done. Now that I make close to nothing I do them myself unless MH pays for them. I know I am spoiled and it's bad.
I always ask for a gift card for a pedicure for Christmas, I like to get one done in the spring to take away the "winter foot look". If I can justify spending money for another one I'll get it done otherwise I'll do them myself and upkeep every couple of weeks.
We are on a tight budget these days, but I have to admit a pedicure is my favorite thing in the world. I love going to this nice spa in town - they give you a hot herbal neck thing and a foot massage and it's heaven.
I don't do it often at all, but sometimes when I really, really need a pick me up, we fit it in.
I used to get a pedi every 2-3 weeks, but now it's more like once a month. I hardly ever get a mani because I'm weird and I don't like polish on my finger nails. It actually makes my palms sweaty if you can believe it. yuck. So, if anything I'll get one coat of a very pale pink, and just for special occasions.

I have pink & whites that I get filled ever 2-3 weeks. I was getting pedis too, but back in November I bruised my big toenail. It basically fell off and I am still working on growing it out.
Lolo, back in the late 80's when red nail polish and red lipstick were in, I used to paint my nails red and take it off the next day. I just couldn't stand it, but I love how it looks on other people. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

haha. Yeah, colored nailpolish just chips too easily and my nails grow soooo fast, so it's pointless to paint them. My toes are a different story though. I love trying different colors.. & my fave is bright pink.

I do manis myself, and get pedis done once every couple of months, if I can.
Yup. After 20+ years of acrylic fills every two weeks and pedis once a month. I now do my own hands and treat myself to a pedi once every 3 or so months. The last one I got was a major disappointment (I had a gc) and I wish I could go again sooner.

Manis I get done every now and then. We just bought a house, so I have been getting the manis done because of all the house work we have been doing. Pedis I get every 2-3 weeks. I LOVE pedis!!! I will eventually go back to pink and white and will have to go back every 2 weeks for a refill.

Manis I do myself because I can't wear polish at work, so I can't justify paying for one.
Pedis...it depends on my mood. I usually have one done twice a year and do them myself in between.

This is about right for me too but I usually start my monthly pedis in March.
