  • 5 seems like a lot to me!

  • 5 or more.  But then, I grew up Catholic, we have different standards for a lot of kids!

  • I think once you have more kids than you have arms between the 2 parents, you have a lot of kids. So, 5+ kids is a lot in my mind.

I personally can't imagine having more than 3.

4 is a lot to me.

1 more than you want/think you want is probably the answer for most people!

  • Anything more than 3. The world is already overpopulated.

  • I think 2 or 3 is good. I think I'd be overwhelmed with any more. I have two older half brothers and a twin brother, so 4 isn't too many I guess.
  • I think 5 now a days is a lot.  I'm one of 3 and DH is one of 4 - so that seems manageable to me. But, DH  has a friend with 5. I just couldn't even imagine!

I vote for 4. Don't know why but it just seems like a heck of a lot compared to 3. Stupid. I know.

  • My sister has 8, and I happen to feel that when the kids outnumber the parents by that much you should probably stop :)
  • Anything over 3.

5+ is a lot to me.  Many of my friends growing up and cousins came from families with 4 kids, so it's pretty normal to me.  Although, I would never dream of having 4 of my own.

All of this. Ideally, DH and I would like 3. 4 isn't out of the question for me, but DH says that would be too much for him. I think of 5+ as "a lot."
