I saw her put it in her mouth i reached in her mouth to grab it out and she quickly swallowed. sigh. she laughed with such pride afterward that i could not help but laugh with her (in my head not out loud!)...though i seriously wanna puke! eeewwww.

At least you're not in Florida.  Palmetto bugs are bigger than her!

    Seriously!

This reminds me when my nephew (he was around Orchid's age) was crawling around on the ground by the pool, grabbing at whatever he could get his hands on.  I picked him up and was carrying him around and then I saw it - the tail end of a cricket poking out of his mouth!  Luckily my brother was right there, as I screamed and yelled at him to get it out of Bailey's mouth.  So much for me being the protective aunt.

  • I dunno the name of the bug, but it was one of those nasty thousand-legger guys. so.very.blech! i dunno why, but if it was a crunchy one, it wouldn't make me want to vomit quite so badly.

...remember a while back when i said Orchid pretty much eats anything that doesn't eat her first? Well, ......yeah.

  • Sounds like a centipede.  Might have come in because of the rain.  I shy away from indoor pesticide because it is the biggest cause of childhood cancer but outdoor treatments might do the trick!

I live in a townhouse community so i could not have any treatments done without their consent and wouldnt anyway. i am afraid of all those chemicals. Orchid plays in the grass outside and all over all the floors inside so I would rather have an epic battle for the occasional bug then risk her well-being with pesticides.
