I've tried everything, multiple times, but DS just won't eat fruit, except applesauce. He loved purees as an infant, but he won't go near regular fruit now. He'll try it, but it's immediately spit out. I think it's a texture thing. Aside from pureeing it or hiding it in other food, any other suggestions? He loves veggies, so no problem there. I know fruit doesn't have that much nutritional value, but it'd be great if I could offer it as a snack as opposed to goldfish, grahams, etc.
Re: Suggestions for toddler who refuses to eat fruit?
What if you made it into something different. Such as making the fruit into an ice pop, or putting the fruit into a mesh feeder. Maybe trying different ways he can eat it.
Also maybe giving him a slice on watermelon and seeing if he will eat that instead of it being cut up into little bits.
have you tried frozen fruit? DD wasn't a fan, but I have heard of people saying their kids loved it.
DD has gotten very picky w/ her fruit, but she'll still eat some, she just gets bored so I have to switch it up.
